Has anyone recorded any Koel fledglings this season?  If so, I would appreciate short details such as date, suburb and if possible, host.

I haven’t so far and from all the adult activity within 100 m from our house for the past week I suspect they are still establishing territories.  There have been up to 5 birds at a time, with much calling (such a wide range by both species), confrontations/standoffs between females, males or females and males, as well as males chasing females or other males (in one case 3 birds).

They’ve also often been happy to sit out in full view on fences, wires etc.  It’s almost been a full-time job keeping up with them.
