Two bowers in our garden are maintained year-round and have been for at least three years. One bowerbird was particularly ambitious and had three bowers under a prickly acacia for at least two years. I notice that now he has relaxed into only one bower. We also have two or three newly established bowers popping up under bushes now and then. Often newly established bowers are trashed and the blue items stolen. We have at least a dozen bowerbirds in residence year-round.
