I sat restfully in Latrobe Park for about half an hour with my wife on this lovely early Spring afternoon.

Besides the occasional magpie or Noisy Miner, the park was full of Psittaciformes: they included at least ten Eastern Rosellas, some Crimson Rs, galahs, a Gang-gang or two, Rainbow lorikeets, King parrots etc.

But the group of three cockatoos in the distance resolved with greater proximity into one Sulphur-crested Cockatoo and two Long-billed Corellas.  I have not seen LBCs in the Deakin area before and indeed rarely in Canberra.  So, a pleasant surprise.
