Further to my earlier observation of 53 birds, 76 seen this afternoon 20th July,  mainly feeding in one small corner inside Arawang Primary School grounds, foraging (for roots, seeds?) under fallen leaf litter from a grove of deciduous trees lining boundary fence. Initially saw ~ 30, remainder arriving at intervals in groups of no less than 10 at a time. Continued to feed for about 20 mins, most flew off in north-westerly direction. Might be a different story tomorrow with school resuming after the holidays.
