Yes, it was nice and fun, thanks to Mark plus helpers. Had a strong theme about what birds live where. What amused me the most is that none on my team (including
me) had any idea about the movie question: What movie had three (named) actors and who was the director. Whilst it is OK that none of us knew the answer directly but even trying several times, none of us even got close to a guess of the answer. As in how
obvious. It is a bird quiz - - - it was “The birds”, (that 1963 American film directed by Alfred Hitchcock). Funny thing in response to that comment from Kim is I thought Raggiana Bird of Paradise is a sort of easy answer.

Subject: [Canberrabirds] A great Canberra Birds quiz night on the 15th - thank you Mark
Dear Mark
Thank you for organising and running a very successful quiz night on Wednesday evening. Great fun was had by all, despite or perhaps because there were some very hard questions! Our table certainly didn't know that Gene Cernan was an astronaut
who hit a golf ball on the moon in 1972. But we came up with some very imaginative species names for the Bird of Paradise on the PNG flag - with none of our answers even close.
And for those who couldn't make it last night, the word is that Mark will run the quiz again in January 2026.
