Thanks Nicki, that’s the second confirmed one for the season of which I am aware.  On 3 December Stan Jarzynski photographed a begging one at his place in Kambah which appeared to be an orphan because there was no host around.  After he fed it plums it disappeared and was not to be able to be found again.  I was pretty certain I heard on in Yarralumla the day before that, there was continuous begging which I couldn’t locate in a very big leafy oak but could not find again despite several searches in the following days.  Very interesting for young fledglings to be so mobile?

A recently-fledged Koel in Bruce this morning, attended by a Wattlebird. A couple of adult Koels calling vigorously close by.
