Thanks Denise,
These birds have been here a long time and did build solid nests. I did just check and was surprised it was still there but the keel bone seems plump but it is on the nose so would be degrading at this stage.
Yes I was quite surprised that it did. After it removed the bird it returned to the nest and kept an eye on it for a long time.

If you feel the keel bone of the chick you will get an idea about health if it is sharp without meat on either side it will be a feeding issue if it’s nice and plump then I have no idea.
