My thanks to Ben and everyone else who has visited The Pinnacle in the last few days to track down the Pink Robin I reported last Saturday. Ben’s sighting was about 50 m from where I saw it, so I think it’s probably safe to assume it’s the same bird, and interesting
that it’s still around.
Cheers,
John

Good evening,
Today's sighting could not have been possible without Zach Fleggs assistance in the field and also Angela Booth, who brought to our attention cooberating photographic evidence of John's report, from a sighting on May 28, now uploaded on the
Naturemapr site.
Cheers, Ben

Thanks Alison. Photos and reports are coming out of the woodwork (or out of the Pinnacle). Chris Chapman has also been in touch with a photo from today too, which he will shortly submit to eBird.
Since my first post to the Chatline a record from the Botanic Gardens has been submitted to eBird. It dates back to 8 May and shows a bird in the hand with a note to say it was ringed...

On 25 May John Brannan reported a female Pink Robin in
this eBird Checklist. John's description of the bird was brief but it was suggestive of Pink Robin. That record was referred to the COG Rarities Panel for consideration, as the species is not only rare in the ACT but the location is a new one (as reported
to eBird at least).
Today Ben Milbourne has also reported Pink Robin in the same location, but Ben was fortunate to get three photos of the bird and uploaded them to his
eBird Checklist
I expect that walkers at the Pinnacle may see a few more birders in the vicinity over the next few days.
