The corellas have returned for the acorns. To the counted numbers mentioned in these pics should be added at least 150 (estimated) further down the hill, so well over 600.   Seems quite a lot, but not compared to the seasonal thousands by the Murray at Yarrawonga/Mulwala.  In the locality shown here the odd bird falls victim to a careless motorist, another common species, as suggested by the frequently horizontal road sign at the Caley Crescent intersection.
