Hi Paul
I can't speak on that particular Darter but the species is present around the Lake, Jerra Wetlands and environs in good numbers this season and really often they are flying over, seemingly between the Lake and the river.  A good breeding season in the district perhaps?

Over the last week I’ve seen as lone darter soaring over Davidson’s Hill/Red Hill; any explanations for this behaviour?
