Hi all, can confirm it's 100% the central tail feather of a bush stone-curlew, as Philip says.

Hi Kim,
I believe I have seen a match to this before but it took me a minute or two, plus checking HANZAB & a field guide. . Location is relevant. It is a central
tail feather. Pretty confident that it is from the Bush Thick-knee (Stone- Curlew). Provided the size fits, which I think it will.

The attached photo was submitted to the (newish) COG Facebook page today, with a request for an ID of the bird. It was found at Goorooyarroo near Mulligans Flat.
I suggested Tawny Frogmouth, but am no expert on feathers. Could it perhaps be Wood Duck? As you can see, I am truly no expert on feathers!
