True in New South Wales, Martin – but a quick google shows that the former Nass TSR was gazetted as an ACT Nature Reserve in 2013, with the creative
name of “Former Naas TSR Nature Reserve”, and is not leased.

And many TSRs are also leased out so public entry is not allowed without permission of the lessee.

That’s my understanding, Ben: those are rural leases, which can only be entered with the permission of the landowner.
Further along Nass Road, the Nass TSR is a small patch of the low flat land immediately north of the Gudgenby River
and east of the new Nass Road bridge, but I haven’t checked its exact boundaries recently and it isn’t particularly bird-rich anyway.
Others may know more.

It's been brought to my attention that birders are entering the wooded paddocks at the intersection of Naas and Apollo roads.
Can anyone confirm whether this is private property.
