Funny thing, in case anyone is still amused by this. I have just come across the opposite mistake.
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/MC9ke4eUIwM With Neil DeGrasse Tyson. Starts with a bear story but then uses a photo of Australian Magpie, then continues with a story about the Eurasian Magpie. So reverse
of the usual. I have not seen that before. No way of knowing who put that together.

Yes it is pretty amazing that whoever puts out this stuff doesn’t bother to take an original photo or step out their door or look out their window to check
what a Magpie looks like and they don’t realise this is something totally different, in appearance and behaviour. It also relates of course to the other current subject matter about the confusion existing in bird names around the world. Those who gave our
bird the same name over 2 centuries ago started the problem. The question arises, as I also asked David, seeing as you, Anthony, have located these goofs: Have you written to them about it?
I mean, it is amusing to tell us, but the message needs to clearly go to whoever puts out this stuff. So that it does not get perpetuated………. I can do it. Who
else?

Thanks, David
A simple mistake from a person with no idea about birds?
I blame laziness. A media person with no clue googles magpie and comes up with the wrong species:
