Hi All,
This morning at Jerra Wetlands I spotted a young Lewin's Rail lurking in the grass in front of Cygnus Hide, later on there were two birds calling near Fulica Hide. Also while in Cygnus Hide a bird flying away from me low over the reeds went without a confirmed
ID or photo, it was larger than a Snipe and very different flight. The one I can think it may have been with my view and it's flight was a Godwit but cannot confirm or otherwise. It does seem an unlikely location for it but it would be good if someone gets
to see it again and confirm what it was.
Late this morning walking down to Isabella Pond, unaware of their presence I flushed 13 adult Nankeen Night Heron, by far the most I have ever seen.
