Hi folks - the painted snipe appears to have left the pond at the STEP at the Arboretum. It may have left as a result of many photographers approaching it too closely. please remember that it is an
Endangered species and that getting close to and disturbing birds when they’re feeding, roosting or nesting can cause stress or
expose them to predation. There are useful links at: the Birdlife
