Message resent, reduced for size reasons
Thank you Sandra. Re Jack’s comprehensive overview, and the gulls on Spinnaker Island, it seems the ones I reported at end August were only resting. I made a count of those in my photo, and there
were at least 560 then. Partial view below. Mind you, there’s no guarantee that if you had your eye on a good nest spot 5 weeks ago, it will still be available when serious nesting starts. A tight rental market wherever you look.

Notice of the COG Annual General Meeting for 2023
Wednesday 8 November 2023, 7.30pm
The Annual General Meeting of the Canberra Ornithologists Group Inc. (aka Canberra Birds) will be held at 7.30 pm on Wednesday 8 November
2023 in the usual venue at Canberra Girls’ Grammar School.
This year there will be the option to attend the meeting virtually using Zoom. Details will be available in the November issue of Gang-gang.
However, this will not include the speaker after the AGM concludes, so if you want to hear Libby Robin talk about her book ‘What Birdo is
That?’ you will need to come in person.
The agenda and call for nominations are in the October issue of
Gang-gang and on the website - https://canberrabirds.org.au/about-cog/annual-reports/
