Good Morning

I contacted Shorty yesterday to say I will take it IF he can catch it , it is relatively easy to treat the prime problem is catching the bird at first try . If missed they are too smart to catch again without patience it took a couple 2 weeks to catch the following one from Ainslie .

Also one in Lyneham a few years back that was fed by its mates never to be caught .

Thanks

Thanks Maryanne,

I will give them a call tomorrow. However I don't think the bird can be captured if it turns up again as it is very mobile.

That is a very severe case of scaly mite, but is treatable. If you call ACT Wildlife, hopefully they can assist you.  If it isn't caught and treated it can eventually cut off blood supply and can cause toes and even feet to fall off.

I just looked out my window and spotted a Pied Currawong on the perch of one of my baths. I thought what the hell is wrong with your feet 😲 Apart from the feet it looked healthy and flew off well. I have seen scaly mite before but this looks very different, anyone have an insight to what this is?
