For the information of Jean’s many friends in COG, and on advice from Jean’s family, the funeral service to celebrate Jean's life will be held in the Chapel of Norwood Park Crematorium, Sandford Street, Mitchell on Thursday 31 August 2023,
commencing at 1:15 pm, with the burial to follow later
at Woden Lawn Cemetery.

Subject: [Canberrabirds] Some sad news
Many of you will be aware that long-term COG member Jean Casburn has been battling cancer for some time. Jean died peacefully last night (21 August).
Jean was a champion in the fight to have Bluetts Block saved from development, which led to her being the winner of the ACT Environment Award in 2022.
She was also a loved friend to many of us.
