There are Superb Parrots in many parts of Canberra. There are known roosts in Holt (golf course), John Knight Park, and spot in Florey, Garran, and Wanniassa.

Although a substantial number of parrots still leave town for winter, there are still many here.

I have been seeing and hearing them at home in Hawker, in groups of up to six. A few weeks back I watched a group of 24 fly over while I was on the green at the bowls club in Hawker.

I’m in Deakin two mornings a week and hear or see them just about every time, in the area of the car park in King St and the high school across the road.

Photographers posting on Facebook have had superbs in Campbell yesterday, and in Gungahlin a couple of weeks ago.

However, every record is valuable!

Our search for Blue-faced Honeyeaters continues to be unsuccessful. However yesterday we got to the sculpture garden near the National Museum  and found 16 Gang-gangs and at least 2 Superb Parrots.
