Hi All,
Today I went out to see if Angle Crossing Road was open at Smiths Road and it was. I had looked quite a while back to look for access from the Western side to near where we used to go to look for them on the Eastern side. Parking at Angle Crossing road
( Black circle ) it was only a 380M walk to a vantage point ( Red circle ) where I could see the old access Road and the bird calls amplified in the river valley ( Blue circle ). There are a nice row of large Gums coming up the river (Yellow area ).
I did not go down to the river but it is quite steep and I don't think access through the scrub near the river would be easy but might be possible to travel further down the river to get closer to the old spot.
The crossing is also open so you can access from Tharwa or the Highway.
