Greetings, for information, in June 2021, the Canberra Ornithologists Group wrote to the National Capital Authority, responding to a discussion paper released by the NCA. COG recommended there should
be an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), to address potential impacts on birdlife on the lake & wetlands The letter is on the COG website, under conservation menu (link below). The NCA replied they would develop guidelines for shared and safe use of Lake
Burley Griffin.

Subject: Re: [Canberrabirds] Seaplanes over Jerrabomberra Wetlands
From the ABC today,
It is part of a trial where (extremely rich) people can get flights from Rose Bay in Sydney to Lake Burley Griffin, with scenic flights also proposed.
The article is unclear as to whether there has been any consultation with environmental groups to mitigate any damage.

We were at Jerra Wetlands today and noticed that 2 Seaplanes flew over Kellys and the wetlands, they were lower than we would have expected.
Should they be doing this?
