After four weeks away in Sydney, I have returned and resumed my GBS observations.  It’s been a productive period.

  • Indian Mynas bred (I think just one chick) in a Blakelys Redgum in my front yard.  But yesterday, the relos came to visit.  Eight IMs in total.
  • Magpie larks with dy.
  • This evening, as I chatted with my wife and sipped a scotch, I became aware of a persistent soft chirping.  It took just a moment to discover the chirper in a Chinese Elm in my backyard – a very young Koel with, might I say, a rather golden crown, being fed busily by a RWB.
