Here in beautiful downtown Mallacoota at least a couple of people have misidentified a female Koel as the Walking Haystack Bird (aka Pheasant Coucal). If, in a bad light, you squint at
a photo of a Coucal you can see how they get there - and at least they are both cuckoos.
