We walked from Deakin and across Red Hill this morning and down to Hughes and
then around the edges of Federal Golf Club and back to Deakin to look for the
superb parrots reported by Martin on Friday. We saw 15-20 superb parrots on
woodland in Hughes, Garran and on the golf course itself, including one adult
feeding a fledgling. Just wonderful! Also many gang gangs (about 10-12),
including young with adults. Several kookaburras about too. A very rewarding
walk.
