I had a fair bit to do with Bruce while doing bird surveys in Boodaree and Mullies. I believe I can summarize those experiences as finding Bruce to be one of nature's gentlemen. My sincere condolences to David and to all Bruce's family.

It is with great sadness, I inform COG members that one of our greatest and most humble servants, Bruce Lindenmayer, passed away late last week. Bruce was a long time member of COG and achieved much for COG and Canberra birds in many roles including President. He was recognised as a recipient of the Steve Wilson Medal. On behalf of all COG members I convey our heartfelt sympathies to Bruce's family.
