Yep, absolutely, Geoffrey. eBird's use of the international Clements taxonomy reflects the international nature of eBird. For most birders, most of the time the differences between the two taxonomies do not cause any troubles, in my experience.
And on exotics, eBird now includes several designations for exotic species - including naturalised and escapee statuses. This more detailed exotics protocol is very new and still being tweaked species by species by the Australian eBird team to help ensure
it meets local needs.
