Hi all eBirders
Apologies for this post to those who don't use eBird, but Canberra Birds is a good way to contact our many local eBirders.

Once a year eBird updates its taxonomy and updates all the records in its database to reflect the latest, 'splits', 'lumps', any addition of new species, changes to scientific names etc.

As an eBird user you don't need to do anything, as eBird will update your personal bird records to reflect any changes. Having said that, please submit any unsubmitted lists you have sitting on the eBird app (if you use it) - to ensure your bird data is picked up in any changes.

More detailed info about the annual update can be found at this eBird News link, while detailed info about eBird taxonomy is available on this Support page.
