They have been recorded here but I would suggest the frequency is less than
what most of us would call "often".

Possibly heard a channel-billed cuckoo calling near the Russel offices this
morning (approximately 10am). Was only passing through and didn’t have time to
stop and look for the bird itself.
Are they often recorded so far south?
