Thanks Bec, yes we do get a few Channel-billed mostly passing through here each
spring/summer, eBird shows there has been a couple so far this spring. Some
have predicted it will be the next Koel, which seem to be particularly active
this month, but there's no evidence for that so far. Regards Jack Holland

morning (approximately 10am). Was only passing through and didn’t have time to
stop and look for the bird itself.
Are they often recorded so far south?
