ACT border change given the green light.

Not sure that is the right analogy, Shorty. On that basis, all the ACT would be treated as NSW too… This is more about changing borders since the usage of eBird commenced, of which there are quite a few examples nationally (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_national_border_changes_(1914%E2%80%93present)) and presumably even more sub-nationally.

I hope eBird doesn’t reallocate the older Parkwood records. The birds were in NSW when observed, as were the observers.

But I think this discussion will run and run!

I doubt eBird will. They have Jervis Bay Territory listed as Shoalhaven, NSW.

Hopefully COG and eBird reset all the historical records for the area to reflect this change.  Sort of armchair ticks for ACT lists.

In the short term once it is finalised there will be more Bushlark sightings for the ACT, until the houses are built.
