The Tuggeranong Hill survey was conducted today. It was a cool, still and overcast morning, with occasional mizzle. It
appeared to be a very quiet morning, but species diversity was a little higher overall than the average for Winter, with 19 species within survey sites and another 7 elsewhere. That included a small mixed feeding flock on the edge of site 6, comprising
Striated and Brown Thornbills, Spotted Pardalotes, Weebill and White Throated Treecreepers.
One each White-eared Honeyeater, Golden Whistler, Grey Shrike-thrush and Grey Fantail
were observed, albeit not within sites and Spotted Doves were heard in three distinct places in the nearby suburbs.
