If the deceased Baza was found in the Robertson area, it is possible that Denis recorded the find in
Eucryphia, the journal of the Robertson Environment Protection Society Inc. Denis was a frequent contributor.

Subject: [Canberrabirds] Pacific Baza in COG's AOI
A correspondent has written to me, to fill in some details that I was deficient in my note yesterday. It was not Brendan, it was (the late) Denis Wilson, located
at Robertson, who reported the dead Pacific Baza. Having received that advice, I believe I should correct that part of yesterday’s message.

Interesting. Several years ago one of the sons (Brendan?) of Steve Wilson,
mentioned a dead raptor found on his property he was (is?) at, that is sort
of somewhere near there but sorry I don't know where. I believe he thought
it had died from a collision with house window or car (I don't remember
what). I doubt it was any better than just outside the COG AOI. I don't now
know whether he sent the message to canberra birds or birding aus. He sent a
vague description and up till then, he had thought it was an odd Brown
Goshawk. When I asked him for more information he retrieved the body from
the bin and sent me several photos. Was clearly a Baza. I have done a quick
but unsuccessful search for these details from my long email record.

Subject: Pacific Baza in COG's AOI
Morning all,
In today's (?) Australian Bird Identification (ABID) page is a photo of
what is an obvious Pacific Baza taken at Tarago sometime in the recent
past. This record I think is within COG's Area of Interest and would be
a new species for the area. I will try to get more details from the
person who uploaded the photo. How will the COG Rarities Committee treat
this record as I am sure there are other COG members who subscribe to
ABID and will have seen the photo. I get a lot of juvenile Pacific Koel
records from this source for Jack Holland when in season and anyone can
join the group.
