Nice one Duncan,

I had a Rose Robin on Majura last weekend, similarly haven't seen one for a while, so very nice to see. Also had a mixed flock a couple of days ago with at least 5 golden whistlers-so often there seems to be just one with the mixed flocks so it was mildly noteworthy.

Then today, went for a ski from Bulls Head out to the old Bendora Arboretum; nothing spectacular birdwise but did see gang gangs, satin bowerbird, scrubwrens, and striated and buff rumped thornbills which all looked more beautiful than normal with the snowy backdrop.

This morning, in the freezing rain, I had a small mixed flock in my garden in Giralang. The highlight was a female Rose Robin. It's been at least 10 years since I last had one here. Also in the flock were some Yellow Thornbills, a Grey Fantail, a young Golden Whistler and others which I didn't have time to identify.

Duncan.
