I stopped and watched this SCC in Hughes yesterday. It hung upside down off the wire completely motionless for a couple of minutes - I thought there must be something wrong with it - but it then righted itself completely normally and flew off. I've previously seen them hanging upside down in the rain with wings outstretched, presumably for bathing purposes, and they sometimes lose their balance when landing on a wire, and right themselves with squawks and wing sculling, but this is the first time I've seen one behave in this manner.
