My father in law used to say that when the weather is bad on the coast, Black Cockatoos come inland.  That would have been from the coast to Moss Vale or Marulan.

Even though our weather is not great it is probably better than the weather at the coast.

This morning at about 7 o’clock I saw 30 to 40 yellowtail black cockatoos perched in the block of pine trees to the north of Cotter Road opposite the great wall of Curtin. When I came back along the bike track behind the wall a little while later they were dispersing from there in pairs, mainly flying westwards.
