Off topic - Artemis Station, Qld

Hi All,

I was very appreciative of all the useful feedback I received regarding a visit to Artemis Station and a big 'thank you' to all those who responded. 

I've had two conversations with Sue Shepherd and really hope we get to meet her as she sounds like a pretty amazing person!

I can't wait for our trip!

We have stayed at Artemis twice, once camping and once in their dongas. The latter are small rooms, which are air-conditioned and have en suite. They are fairly new. 

It is highly recommended to stay at Artemis rather than at Musgrave because you are on site to see the Golden-shouldered parrots and also Sue Shepherd is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

I understand that Musgrave Roadhouse is not too far away...... is that a better option or is it better to actually stay on the property?

Local Update ....

Much closer to home I've been really happy to see the Hardheads breeding in Gungahlin again this summer. The most interesting event for me was seeing a clutch of ten tiny ducklings on the front dam at Mulligan's instead of the Big Dam. The Valley Ave Ponds have produced another three broods and I recorded one juvenile at Casey Pond a few days ago.
