The one White-fronted Honeyeater that stayed in my garden for 9 weeks in 2002, (seen every day of that period except one) often had minor aggression from the
Eastern Spinebills. They seemed to be about even and neither consistently removed the other.

Subject: [Canberrabirds] Singing Honeyeater at Franklin Pond
I went around to find this bird/these birds yesterday evening. I saw one bird in the north-eastern corner of the pond feeding in a casuarina at the entrance to the walkway across the pond. However it was calling, so presumably the other
bird was about.
I was wondering why a vagrant like this has survived and persisted here for over a year, and as I wandered around the whole pond I noted that there didn't seem to be any resident White-plumed Honeyeaters. If there were presumably they would have
chased the intruder away.
