We visited on Nov 17 and the Avocets were there but not in those numbers .... too far away to count and no eBird list submitted.

Cheers

I don't know if anyone else has reported this, but David Landon and I have just seen 60-odd of these birds on Lake George. Walk south from the far end of Anderson picnic area, through (round) two gates, keep going along lake shoreline. There seem to be two spots where the birds are gathered, one maybe 400m from picnic area, the other a bit further away. Extraordinary sight!
