We had a Koel on 30 Sept in 2020.

Hi Mark, and all
Your post about the first Koel prompted me to check eBird for early records of Koel in the ACT. There is only one record for September, that being back in 2012 and also on September 26 but in Barton. I also checked COG's Birdata which also indicates September sightings, but likewise very low.

Morning all,

It appears that Canberra's most favourite spring - summer bird has
returned to the local area. This morning on the "Canberra Birders - Rare
and Unusual Sightings" is a recording of a Pacific (Eastern ) Koel from
Narrabundah on the 26th of September. The bird appears to be suffering a
bad dose of laryngitis but is still easily recognisable as a koel.
