A group of about eight yellow-faced honeyeaters turned up at my home in Hawker on Sunday and they’re still here!

While out for a quick stroll in chilled air after rain, I counted and estimated 80 Yellow-faced Honeyeaters feeding in pink blossom of various gum trees from Somerset Street up to Eucumbene and then moving across to Narrabundah Hill.

Red Wattlebirds swooped in very fast and aggressively to send off the honeyeaters but with only short lived result.

Lots of Red Wattlebirds feeding throughout Duffy.
