Thanks Lia – and I had another email confirming that they do indeed nest in the cracks between the concrete blocks on the bridge.

Best regards,

Brian

I’m sure if there is an opportunity they would do so.  A pair of Crimson Rosellas has nested behind the sign on the front of my husband’s workshop for years.

Regards

Lia

G’day all,

Pretty much every time I pass under the southern end of the Commonwealth Avenue Bridge, there are Red-rumped Parrots hanging out on the stonework. Today I noticed a female perching vertically by a vertical crack between two blocks of concrete, and wondered if maybe they could be nesting in the crack? Does anyone know if this is something that Red-rumps do?

Best regards,

Brian Hawkins
