I had one Black-shouldered Kite fly over my home on morning of Sunday 4 July. (As I was hanging out washing.) I think this is the first GBS record of this species for my site in about 35 years here. Though I have seen them occasionally along the Kambah Pool road.

2 Black-shouldered Kites were present just north of Coppins Crossing on Monday afternoon. One was carrying a stick in its beak as it flew towards a pine tree but I wasn’t able to watch where it landed.

Cheers
