Relatively quiet at this time apart from regular honeyeaters and one probable 
bassian thrush . One surprise sighting was an owlet nightjar on the path 
running to the left of CSIRO fence in section 334 , about 150 m from a track to 
the left.

It can be found occupying the mouth of a spout about 12 M above ground level on 
the left the path ,in a central position of whitish grey trunkedof gum tree 
clearly marked with a splash of distinctive orange colour.
