This is a Grey Butcherbird. If brown it's a youngster rather than an adult.

This very poor photo was of the bird I saw accompanying the blue-faced honey eater in our garden yesterday. The 2 birds came and left together.  It was smaller than the obvious BFHE upon which I placed my photographic efforts. Having got a satisfactory photo of said BFHE I then tried to get this chap, thinking it was an immature BFHE  but I am not sure. It was brown and pale with no other colour.

Any ideas?

Today the BFHE came back to our garden for a short time this arvo, and we did not see the bird in this photo.

Thanks.

Cathy
