Nice photo and shows the sort of odd but characteristic habit of this family of finches (in the sense of Estrildid finches) that the young beg and are fed with this posture of head held back, neck down and beak tilted up. It may be because they build fully enclosed nests and they have specific mouth markings. Maybe this posture helps to show this off to the parents. Most baby birds simply reach forward, which might be difficult in a covered nest.
