Has anyone seen or heard any Koel fledglings yet?

With the adults earlier return this season I thought fledglings would be reported from around the start of December, but apart from a couple of very early ones I’m not aware of any others even though were are now around the same time as they were first reported last season.

So if you have seen one, or do so in the near future, I would be very grateful if you could please indicate when and where you first saw or heard it, and if possible the host species (most likely a Red Wattlebird) that is feeding it.

Please reply directly to me rather than the chat line if you think reports of Koel fledglings are rather ho hum these days.

Many thanks

Jack Holland
