I have been swooped (not lightly) by a Brown Goshawk (yesterday) and a couple of weeks back - both times at the Botanic Gardens. It was quick and aggressive.

I’ve had the same butcher bird experience in the same vicinity Helen.
Last year, in Brisbane, a raven near took me out.
Clearly the avian opinion of homo sapiens is on the slide.
