NZbirdonline is very useful for Australian birders as it has access for pages of HANZAB relating to any NZ, or Australian species that has ever been seen there, Quite a few it appears.

In my view HANZAB should be made available in a digital format now, at a reasonable cost to anyone who would find it of use.

Rick, try nzbirdsonline.org.nz
Although one hasn't been seen in NZ since one was shot in 1882, there is quite a bit of info about the species.

Can anyone recommend any sources of information about Red wattlebird biology or behaviour.

One is regularly taking food from my fingers, others are nesting in the front yard and I'm keen to find out more about them. Information in field guides and on general Australian bird web sites is thin. Google scholar hasn't turned up much.

Thanks

Rick
