Just as a general comment, unless there is some specific reason for doing so, I would not suggest it is a particularly good or necessary thing to do. The species is doing very well in Canberra as it is. There is a lot of seeding grasses around.

I’d like to strew seed around the backyard to attract Crested Pigeons. Will wheat do or is there something more suitable?
