Flocks, probably the Lake Ginninderra mob, are often seen swooping around in the light above Belconnen Mall particularly on October evenings when westerlies push migrating moths towards the bright lights of Canberra, but I couldn’t say if they’re pigging out on the bogongs or another airborne arthropod attractant.

An aside, funny but true, a good 30 years ago a local pest controller distributed flyers advising Canberrans to have their carpets and drapes treated before the influx of Bogong Moths.
